Genetic mutants with Bub3, Rae1 alterations

Names of genes are ordered alphabetically. For the order of interventions, please see the specific paper.
  • Lifespan (days)

    660.0

  • Lifespan change (compared to wild type)

    -12.00%

  • Phenotype

The median overall survival of Bub3+/- and Rae1+/- mice was slightly reduced in comparison with wild-type animals (24 vs. 25 mo, respectively), but these differences were not significant. In contrast, the median survival of Bub3+/-/Rae1+/- mice was significantly reduced to 22 mo, which translates into a 12% decrease in lifespan. The reduced lifespan of Bub3+/-/Rae1+/- mice may be the result of the sum of the lifespan reductions in Bub3+/- and Rae1+/- mice.

  • Lifespan comparisons

Double mutant Bub3(KO);Rae1(KO) has a lifespan of 660.0 days, while single mutant Rae1(KO) has a lifespan of 720.0 days, single mutant Bub3(KO) has a lifespan of 720.0 days and wild type has a lifespan of 750.0 days.
